RAIL TOWER/LOCO MONUMENTS TŁUSZCZ
Tłuszcz's history is closely linked to the railway. The town developed particularly rapidly after the Petersburg–Warsaw Railway opened in 1862. New houses and railway workshops gradually appeared. To ensure proper operation, the locomotive depot needed water supplies. Thus, two wooden water towers were built near the station in the 19th century, with a third closer to the engine shed. The one now considered the town's landmark was built in 1921. Railway enthusiasts will also appreciate two rare locomotives: the Ty2-220 steam locomotive from 1943 and the Hutnik 4010 locomotive from 1958.
