MARY SHRINE IN LORETTO
The origins of the Marian Shrine in Loretto date back to 1928. On March 27, 1929, the official name of the village was changed to Loretto, referring to the famous Shrine in Loreto, Italy. In 1981, a statue of Our Lady of Loreto—an exact replica of the original from Loreto, Italy—was brought to the Polish Loretto.

PARK AND OBELISK OF CHARLES FERDINAND VASA IN WYSZKÓW
In the second half of the 16th century, Bishop Piotr Dunin Wolski of Płock commissioned the construction of an impressive manor. It later became the favorite residence of Charles Ferdinand Vasa. Today, an obelisk dedicated to his memory still stands, funded by King John II Casimir. The monument was designed by the Italian architect Giovanni Battista Gisleni, the royal architect of the Vasas.

WHISTLE MUSEUM IN GWIZDAŁY
The Whistle Museum was established in May 1999, initiated by Dr. Witold Tchórzewski, a radiologist and collector from Warsaw, who donated 52 whistles to start the collection. Today, the museum features around 1,500 whistles and other exhibits.

ARMORY MUSEUM AT LIW CASTLE
The castle, built in the 15th century as a border watchtower, now houses one of the largest collections of weapons in Poland. Its main exhibition showcases bladed, firearms, and polearms from the 15th to the 20th century. The museum also features temporary exhibitions displaying works from other institutions and local artists. Each year, Liw Castle hosts two major events: the International Festival of Flavors on the Lithuanian Route and the International Knights’ Tournament at Liw Castle.

MARIA ŻYWIRSKA OPEN-AIR MUSEUM IN BRAŃSZCZYK
Founded in 2015 by the Brańszczyk municipality, the open-air museum honors the “tradition and centuries-old rural culture.” It preserves buildings and artifacts connected with the history and culture of the White Kurpie—a community with unique costumes and customs that originated in the 18th century when settlers arrived from the Green Kurpie region in northern Mazovia. The museum includes a Wooden Cottage, Log Barn, Smithy, and Well.

PALACE IN STARA WIEŚ
This neo-Gothic palace was built most likely at the end of the 16th century and has undergone several reconstructions and modernizations over the centuries. It is open to organized groups upon prior reservation.
WOODEN ARCHITECTURE MUSEUM OF THE SIEDLCE REGION IN NOWA SUCHA
Located 25 km from Siedlce, this baroque manor house with corner alcoves was built in 1743 by Ignacy Cieszkowski, the castellan of Liw. In 1843, a neoclassical portico was added. In the late 1980s, the manor was renovated under the supervision of Prof. Marek Kwiatkowski, then director of the Royal Łazienki Museum. Around the restored manor, 20 traditional buildings were relocated—wooden cottages, a Dutch-style windmill, an inn, farm buildings, and another manor from Rudzienko.

PRIVATE FOLK ART MUSEUM IN ZAMBRZYNIEC
Located in a renovated barn, this gallery presents not only local artwork and handicrafts but also literature, folk traditions, and the cultural heritage of forgotten crafts. Workshops conducted by recognized folk artists are increasingly popular among visitors. The museum is open from May to November.

MUSEUM OF STRUGGLE AND MARTYRDOM IN TREBLINKA
This memorial site comprises two former German camps—labor and extermination—operating between 1941–1944 and 1942–1943 in the forests along the Siedlce–Małkinia railway line, near the village of Poniatowo. The name derives from the nearby Treblinka train station, located 6 km away. The site includes the former extermination camp, penal labor camp, gravel pit, execution site, and the so-called “Black Road.”

CHURCH OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY IN WĘGRÓW
The Minor Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saints Peter, Paul, Andrew, and Catherine was originally a Gothic parish church built in the 16th century. Between 1703 and 1706, it was rebuilt in the Baroque style by Carlo Ceroni. The basilica is home to the famous “Twardowski’s Mirror.”

RAILWAY WATER TOWER AND LOCOMOTIVE MONUMENTS IN TŁUSZCZ
The history of Tłuszcz is closely tied to the development of the railway. The town flourished after the opening of the St. Petersburg–Warsaw Railway in 1862. To support railway operations, three water towers were built in the 19th century—the most famous one, dating from 1921, still stands today as a local landmark. Train enthusiasts will also find two rare locomotives here: the Ty2-220 steam engine (1943) and the Hutnik 4010 diesel locomotive (1958).

KALISKA STABLES
Located in the small village of Kaliska, within the Łochów commune, this eco-friendly agritourism farm is part of Poland’s first network of ecological tourism farms. The stables are situated on the riverbank, far from city noise, offering horseback riding lessons for all levels of experience.

“EUROOSTRICH” MINI ZOO
Part of the “EUROOSTRICH Recreation Complex,” this charming corner of Borzychy in Węgrów County is home to many friendly animals—mainly egg-layers. Towering above them are African ostriches, but you’ll also find chickens, ducks, geese, quails, guinea fowl, pheasants, turkeys, peacocks, and more. Guided tours are conducted by the caretaker, who shares fascinating stories about the animals.

SOWIA GÓRA (VIEWPOINT)
Sowia Góra Hill is located just past Jarnice on the right-hand side. It is a high elevation overlooking the Liwiec Valley and a large, picturesque bend of the river.
KAMIENIEC FOREST
The Kamieniec Forest stretches along both sides of the Liwiec River, on the right bank of the Bug River. In the past, this area belonged to the Dukes of Mazovia, who had a hunting lodge in nearby Kamieńczyk—hence the forest’s name.
