RAILWAY WATER TOWER AND LOCOMOTIVE MONUMENTS IN TŁUSZCZ
The history of Tłuszcz is closely connected with the railway. A particularly intense development of the town occurred after the opening of the Petersburg - Warsaw Railway in 1862. New houses and railway workshops gradually emerged. To ensure proper functioning, the steam locomotive depot needed water resources. Therefore, in the 19th century, two wooden water towers were built near the station and a third one closer to the locomotive depot. The one regarded as the town's landmark was established in 1921. A real treat for railway enthusiasts are also two rare exhibits of locomotives - the steam locomotive Ty2-220 from 1943 and the locomotive Hutnik 4010 from 1958.
