RAILWAY PRESSURE TOWER AND LOCOMOTIVE MONUMENTS IN TŁUSZCZ
The history of Tłuszcz is strongly linked to the railway. The city experienced significant development after the opening of the Petersburg-Warsaw Railway in 1862. New houses and railway workshops gradually emerged. To ensure proper functioning, the steam locomotive depot needed water resources. In the 19th century, two wooden water towers were built near the station and a third closer to the locomotive depot. The one that is now considered the city's landmark was built in 1921. True gems for railway enthusiasts are the two rare examples of locomotives - steam locomotive Ty2-220 from 1943 and locomotive Hutnik 4010 from 1958.
