RAILWAY WATER TOWER & LOCOMOTIVE MONUMENTS, TŁUSZCZ
Tłuszcz's history is closely linked to the railway. The town developed particularly rapidly after the Saint Petersburg–Warsaw Railway opened in 1862. New homes and railway workshops gradually appeared. To ensure proper operation, the engine shed needed a water supply. In the 19th century, two wooden water towers were built near the station and a third closer to the locomotive depot. The one now considered the town's landmark was built in 1921. Railway enthusiasts will also enjoy two rare locomotives: the Ty2-220 steam engine from 1943 and the Hutnik 4010 locomotive from 1958.
